I enjoy helping and supporting businesses and get a real buzz from getting a task sorted.  Many of my clients feel overwhelmed by their business admin which prevents them from developing and growing their business.  By simply offloading some administrative tasks to me then they are able to focus on their business and delivering a better service to their own clients.

As a business owner do you really want to be hands on in every aspect of your business?  Many of my clients don’t want to be involved in the general business admin, ie taking bookings for seminars, chasing unpaid invoices, booking venues, sending out delegate information, preparing documents etc, that’s where I am able to help.  I deliver a professional administration service that helps and supports my clients in their businesses.

I also support my clients by managing their emails.  My email package can be used on a regular basis or simply during busy periods or holidays.  Many business owners struggle to simple keep on top of their inbox.  That’s where I can help, by monitoring your emails, flagging the really important ones that need your attention, responding to simple enquiries (working on your instructions) and filing the remainder so they are there for you to reference later if you need to.  The joy of having a well organised inbox can reap countless benefits and prevent you feel overwhelmed.

Running your own business is tough at times and many business owners spend their evenings and weekends catching up on their business administration, however by employing someone to do some of the basic administration tasks, the owner can return to work on Monday morning with more clarity and focus on what they need to do.

I hold professional indemnity insurance with Policy Bee.  I am registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office for the processing of data.

Frequently asked questions

How much do you charge?

For new customers my hourly rate is from £22 per hour.  Details of my charges and support packages can be found on the services page.  All my charges are excluding VAT.

Whereabouts are you based?

I’m based just north of Ashbourne in Derbyshire, just inside the beautiful Peak District National Park.

Can I come and visit you?

If you are local to me, I am more than happy to meet with you.  Alternatively I’m happy to have a video meeting with you via zoom.  Or if you prefer just give me a call.

Do I have to sign a contract?

You will be asked to sign a short agreement that lists the work required and my terms and conditions.

I have many years’ experience of working in administration.  I have worked as an Administration Clerk; PA/Secretary; a Tutor teaching ICT to adults; Programme Manager and Parish Clerk.  All my previous roles have included a large amount of administration, planning, and prioritising tasks, organising events, managing budgets and much more. I have also held several voluntary roles, including school governor, show secretary and treasurer.  I have a good working knowledge of the education and local government sector.

Much of my former working life was spent working for the Adult Education Service of Derbyshire County Council, so I have a first-hand knowledge of the education sector and some my existing clients are involved in education in a variety of ways.

I enjoy being able to support small businesses by taking some of the administrative tasks away from them.  I offer an efficient service to deal with many of the everyday tasks. I like to support business owners by helping them to be more organised and reduce the administrative burden.  I offer an efficient, confidential, and reliable service.

I hold a range of qualifications including:
